Most of our workers have their Masters degree in their respective fields and have experience in Scotland play such as Oil Sands, Heavy Duty Equipment and SAGD  drilling.   • Schools Alternative Procurement I & II

    BUILDINGS DEVELOPMENT & INVESTMENT Alberta Schools Alternative Procurement I & II Calgary, Edmonton and surrounding areas, AB Contract Value: I: $412 million II: $253 million Prime Consultant: I: Gibbs Gage and BR2 II: BARR RYDER ARCHITECTS & INTERIOR DESIGNERS Project Owner: Alberta Infrastructure Contract Format: Design-Build-Finance-Maintain Completion Date: June 2012 Contract Duration: I: September 2008 to June 30 2010 II: September 2010 to June 2012 After successfully delivering all 18 schools that made up the ASAP I project, Graham was awarded the contract for ASAP II, consisting of another 10 elementary and middle schools. All of the schools in this P3 project use a standard core design for essential amenities comprised of a gymnasium, library, administration offices, washrooms, classrooms and special teaching space for subjects such as music, art, science, and career and technology studies. High-performance modular classrooms, which are designed to look like permanent classrooms, surround the core building. These modular classrooms provide the school with flexibility to quickly respond to changing enrolment levels in the future. With a goal of LEED Silver certification, the schools are up to 45 per cent more energy efficient, have improved air quality and make use of natural light.

  • BUILDINGS Elevation Place Family Multiplex Canmore, AB

    Contract Value: $32.5 million Prime Consultant: Gibbs Gage Architects Project Owner: Town of Canmore Contract Format: Stipulated Price Completion Date: May 2013 Contract Duration: 24 months The Canmore Family Multiplex is located within this busy tourist town and has many stakeholders. Because the project was designed for use by the whole community, the perspectives of all user groups required consideration. This meant minimal work was performed after hours or on weekends. Components of the project include an aquatic centre, library, climbing centre, fitness centre, and a community multi-use space. Specifically, the aquatic centre consists of an eight-lane lap pool, zero beach leisure pool, lazy river, large and small water slides, steam room, and hot tub. The total gross floor area is approximately 7,150 square metres. The project also encompassed site work, utility connections, landscaping, and fencing to an area of approximately 24,280 square metres. The Canmore Family Multiplex is expected to reach LEED Gold due to energy efficient design that includes the use of geothermal wells to cool the building and solar panels to assist with building heating.

  • Ralph Klein Legacy Park & Shepard Environmental Education Centre Calgary, AB

    Contract Value: $31 million Prime Consultant: Simpson Roberts Architecture Interior Design Inc. Project Owner: City of Calgary Contract Format: Construction Management Completion Date: August 2010 Contract Duration: 18 months Graham was the Construction Manager for a portion of the 75-acre Ralph Klein Legacy Park, a regional park in southeast Calgary. The centerpiece of the park is its environmental education centre, which is constructed on 22-foot-high columns in the middle of a man-made lake. Designed with school field trips and Calgary citizens in mind, the facility delivers state-of-the-art environmental education programs with an emphasis on teaching and learning for a sustainable future. In addition to man-made wetlands, the park also includes learning gardens, wetland study stations, wetland viewing areas, an outdoor amphitheater, project area, interpretive trails, day use and group picnic shelters, and a waterfall. Graham was also responsible for hard landscaping, roads, parking areas, and service buildings. The centre is environmentally sustainable and designed to achieve LEED Gold.

  • Elevation Place Family Multiplex

    Allan, SK Contract Value: Prime Consultant: AMEC Americas Limited Project Owner: Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Contract Format: General Contract Completion Date: October 2012 This project consisted of increasing potash production from 1.0 million tonnes per year to an overall production of 3.0 million tonnes per year. Mustard scope included demolition of existing mechanical equipment and piping, modification of existing equipment, installation of new Owner-supplied equipment, and fabrication and installation of piping systems. The work was completed in five different areas of the mill: Raw Ore Handling and Crushing, Wet Mill, Drying and Screening, Tailings Brine, and Utilities.
